The structures one sees at Angkor wat temple today, more than 100 stone temples in all, are the surviving remains of a grand religious, social and administrative metropolis whose other buildings – palaces, public buildings, and houses – were built of wood and are long since decayed and gone. But the stone parts are still there which is great wonder.

Having planted them centuries ago, the tree’s serpentine roots pry apart the ancient stones and their immense trunks straddle the once bustling Buddhist temple. Built in the later part of the 12^th century by Jayavarman VII, Ta Prohm is the terrestrial counterpart of the star Eta Draconis the Draco constellation.

Alhambra is a unique creation spawned from the gold coffers of Moorish sultans, the creative minds of poets and philosophers and the agony of slave labour. Wars, sieges and years of neglect have failed to detract from the allure of the Alhambra, which draws millions of visitors a year to a hilltop overlooking the city of Granada, located in Spain.

It was the last and most splendid of all the Arabian palaces to be built in Spain during 700 years of Moorish domination. The Moors were vastly superior to their European enemies in all areas of culture and the Alhambra Palace became a glorious symbol of not only their wealth and power but also their unsurpassable artistic and architectural skills. Granada Alhambra in Spain is mesmerizing mixture of the most intricate tile work, filigree decoration and mosaics within its royal rooms and shaded courtyards. A sensual blend of bubbling fountains, dark green pools, white marble floors and enchanting passageways are the main attractions.

The Giza pyramid or the Cheops pyramid was build according to precise dimensions, for example, the height of the pyramid is 149 meters and the distance between the earth and the sun is 149 million kilometer. It consists of millions of heavy stones assembled together without any adhesive material

Visiting this marvelous place is a unique experience; you will be able to see some monuments made from stones only with no adhesives at all and stand strong for more than seven thousand years. The sphinx is another master piece executed only from stone; it represents the body of a lion and the head of a man. The ancient Egyptians thought that they should build something to guard the pyramids so they built the sphinx.

While you are visiting the pyramid complex in Giza, you can enter the pyramid and see the different rooms and decorations inside. Beware, they only release a small number of tickets every day to enter inside the pyramid so, if you plan for this visit then make sure you arrive their early.
